Wm and I ran off to Las Vegas 2 months before the planned wedding and didn't tell anyone. It was even a drive-thru chapel(You want fries with that?). That way the formal wedding was just a dress up party and we had a blast. To this day we haven't told anyone and we refer to that day as OSS Day (Our Secret Shame).
