I know you'll be glad you made it that big, as our screened in porch is 12x12, and while our own little family is fine there, parties get a bit crowded. Ours is on the second level though. Can you believe the previous owners lived here for 10 years with no access from the family room to the back yard? We withstood it for about 6 months (winter) and then it was build away! You guys are just so amazing, that you can do this yourselves!
