Anyways, my thyme experiment failed miserably.  They were ok a week ago when I checked but when I was mowing today, they were all brown and shriveled up.  I suppose it could be possible that they are dormant, but I doubt it.  It could be the dryness lately, but they are supposed to do well in dry locations.

For what it&#039;s worth, we planted oregano in the garden, not realizing it was a perennial so we transplanted it and it is spreading like crazy.  Not the lowest of groundcovers, but pretty damn durable.
