We already have a cover and I assume that does hold and collect some heat as it is very thick vinyl and is a deep blue color. I do like the look of those solar rings though. They had a mac-daddy heating and cooling unit at the pool store but it was nearly $5K. I think that will have to wait. We had a bit of propane left from last year and got the pool up to 82 degrees. We've had the solar blankets but they don't last more than a year and the sun and pool chemicals seem to disintegrate the cover so there's little blue bits floating in the pool by the end of the year.
