Liz, I can't wear ear buds. I've tried them but my ears hate them. If I wear headphones, I wear the big fuzzy ones like the old walkman came with. I'm nothing, if not cool.

Dissertatingdiva, we're in the process of taking all of our CDs and turning them into FLAC files (whatever that is) and then having a minicomputer play them all over the house. It will be like having the 80GB ipod but not portable. It will be so nice to "dial" up whatever I want to hear.

Sad to say, I don't have any players at all. I can't stand having the ear buds, hate music playing right in my ear. Even in the car, I'm a radio girl. I like surfing during commercials and listening to the morning dj's. We have a huge category of CDs and LPs in the basement. I kind of miss playing my LPs on a turntable. That's how low tech I am. At least they aren't 8-tracks!

I've had my 80 GB ipod since that generation came out. (05-06?) We got rid of nearly all our cds (that was a fun ebay/yard sale month). Hubby kept a few, just to be nostalgic. We never take that ipod out of the house and it typically just stays docked at the Bose dock in the living room. We have the first generation ipod that Hubby uses at work. I've got the shuffle for the gym and iphone for everything else. Works great...we just back the up the files on two different computers just in case. It got "stuck" once and I took it to the Apple store, expecting to pay to get it fixed. 15 min later they said it just needed restored to factory settings; no charge. Took it home, reloaded everything, and it's good as new. (Not a fan of store either, but the wireless checkout does come in handy!!)
