Virginia is experiencing a drought this year and that’s a bummer. Even though we water our potted plants, it’s completely not the same as a good soaking rain. Our grass/weed mix thought it was going to recover after a week of rain, but it’s back to going dormant and crackles when you walk on it.
There’s been a drought on keeping up with this blog too. April was a madhouse of stress as I worked on producing a major conference event. Then, there was the relief of it being over. Now there’s the “oh man, the family trip is in 3 weeks” energy that’s starting up. My mother, my two sisters, and I are going to Scotland together for about 2 weeks. It’s either going to be the greatest or we’ll be silent on the plane ride home
