Better Than Silk

Today Leon’s fur feels especially luxuriant. I don’t really know why the texture of his hair changes but it does. He mostly eats the same darn food over and over again so I doubt the change is dietary. Perhaps he’s been really good about cleaning today or it is the cool crisp air. Anyway, he’s so soft and he knows it. He won’t stop coming back for the lovin’ and I won’t stop petting him.

We didn’t do any of the cool things we thought about doing over the weekend, but we did get the room the better-half uses as a home office cleaned up and looking a little less like a sh*tstorm. Some day we’ll (we meaning me) paint in there and then it really will be done. I watched nearly all of Fried Green Tomatoes on Saturday even though the length of and the sheer number of commercials was staggering. As embarrassing as it is to admit that movie always gets to me.

The other day, our cat came in with dirt up to his knees on all four feet. It looked like he had been in fireplace ashes. A couple hours later, he was clean and white again. He’s a lazy cat though. He lets our boy dog lick him clean.
